Senior technical accounting role with ownership across AASB, position papers, reporting and consolidationsBroad hands-on remit spanning revenue accounting, balance sheet integrity, audit and Group reportingWork closely with the Financial Controller, CFO and senior stakeholdersAn opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join an established mining business based in Brisbane CBD.Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role will suit a technically solid accountant who enjoys getting into the detail, understanding the accounting treatment behind complex transactions and identifying opportunities to improve the quality of financial results.Alongside technical accounting and reporting responsibilities, you will also remain close to the day-to-day numbers, taking ownership across revenue accounting, invoicing, reconciliations, consolidations and the financial integrity of multiple entities across the Group.This is a broad, hands-on role offering a strong mix of technical accounting, financial control and team leadership.The RoleLead technical accounting across the Group, including AASB/IFRS interpretation, accounting position papers, impairment, rehabilitation, royalties and other complex mattersOwn key month-end activities across revenue accounting and invoicing,



corporate costs, debt and interest, prepayments, provisions and balance sheet reconciliationsMaintain financial integrity across multiple entities, including Group consolidations, management reporting, Board reporting and statutory financial statementsCoordinate external audit requirements and support tax, BAS, FBT, ASIC reporting, budgeting and forecastingManage and mentor accounting team members while partnering with the Financial Controller to strengthen controls, improve processes and resolve accounting issuesAbout YouCA or CPA qualified with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related disciplineStrong technical accounting capability with a practical understanding of AASB/IFRS and experience preparing accounting position papersProven financial reporting experience across consolidations, statutory reporting, reconciliations and internal controlsComfortable in a hands-on role, with the ability to interrogate results, identify accounting issues and work through them to a clear outcomeDemonstrated experience working within the mining or resources sector, either in industry or through servicing mining clients in a professional services environment
