Brisbane QLDAbout the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen in a growing Technical Services team, working on an established and expanding underground mining operation.Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, this role will see you providing geotechnical support across an active underground operation, with the chance to be involved in exciting development and growth as the site ramps up towards full production.Key ResponsibilitiesGeotechnical mapping, core logging and data collectionMonitoring,
analysing and reporting on ground conditionsGround support design and review for underground development and production areasInstallation and interpretation of geotechnical monitoring instrumentationProviding geotechnical input into mine design and schedulingContributing to the Ground Control Management PlanLiaising with mine planning, geology and operations teamsEnsuring compliance with relevant safety legislation and site standardsAbout YouBachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Mining, Geological Engineering or related discipline2 to 6 years geotechnical engineering experience, underground exposure highly regardedProficiency with geotechnical/mining software (e.g. Deswik, Datamine, RS2/RS3, Map3D)Strong analytical and communication skillsA genuine commitment to safety
