Traffic Controllers - Mandurah to Joondalup
Overwatch Traffic Services is seeking Traffic Controllers for an immediate start for metro-based works in our Bayswater and Mandurah depots, as well as regional projects (DiDo & FiFo).
Entry level positions are available with opportunities to develop in the industry long term for those with the desire to do so.
We are also seeking Traffic Controllers with experience on medium to large scale projects, who can implement complex traffic plans, as well as Traffic Controllers who have higher accreditations such as AWTM, WTM and TMA.
Overwatch is also looking for interested applicants who have crew leading experience in Traffic Management with various projects for utility providers, local shires and construction companies.
Please note that applicants will be required to complete a LabDas Test within 48 hours after attending an interview, using the form provided.
Applicants moved to the next stage after an interview will also be requested to submit a recent Police Clearance as part of the onboarding process.
Key responsibilities
Communicate effectively and contribute to a positive workplace culture
Safely and compliantly set up traffic management scenarios
Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment
Implement and monitor the on-site operation of Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes, to all required safety and quality standards
Monitor traffic behaviour and control traffic flow and pedestrians to ensure members of the public and work crews remain secure
Control traffic via Shuttle Flow Devices (PTCD)
Accurately follow instructions from the Scheduling Team, Operations Manager, Team Leaders, On-Site Supervisors,
Inspectors and Auditors
Complete Vehicle Pre-Start Checks and Daily Diaries as required
Complete and submit any relevant paperwork for jobsites, including safety inductions, as required
About you
Current BWTM and TC Accreditation
White Card
Current and valid WA Driver's Licence
Previous Traffic Controller or Traffic Control Crew Leader experience (desirable)
Additional qualifications such as AWTM, WTM or TMA accreditation (desirable)
