Radford College seeks to appoint an outstanding Director of Co-Curricular to join our thriving school community, which has remained at the forefront of co-education since its establishment in ****. Reporting directly to the Deputy Principal, the Director of Co-Curricular provides strategic leadership of the College's co-curricular and outdoor education programs across Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. The role is responsible for the development, delivery, promotion and continuous improvement of diverse opportunities that complement the academic program and support the holistic development of every student.
The Director oversees clubs and interest groups, including oratory, chess and design, the performing arts including drama, dance and music, outdoor education and camps, enrichment opportunities, College-wide community events and Celebrations.
This is a permanent teaching position, with appointment to the leadership role of Director of Co-Curricular for an initial three-year period commencing in Term 1, ****.
The College's sport program is managed separately and sits outside the scope of this role.

About the role
The Director of Co-Curricular is a member of the Secondary School Leadership Team and provides strategic leadership for the College's co-curricular programs. This role offers an outstanding opportunity for an experienced educator to foster an inclusive, engaging and well-managed culture that supports student participation and student leadership development.
Guided by the College's commitment to participation, skill development, teamwork and enjoyment,



the Director will work collaboratively with academic and pastoral leaders to ensure programs align with the College's educational vision and provide meaningful opportunities for student growth, leadership, service and connection.
The Director will provide leadership across strategic program development, program delivery, staffing, governance, compliance, stakeholder engagement and financial administration, ensuring that co-curricular opportunities are safe, accessible, well managed and reflective of the values and aspirations of Radford College.

Key responsibilities include:
Providing strategic leadership, implementation and continuous improvement of co-curricular and student experience programs across Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12.
Overseeing the planning, delivery and evaluation of clubs and interest groups, outdoor education (camps), oratory and other enrichment activities.
Leading, supporting and developing staff, instructors, conductors, managers, volunteers and student leaders associated with co-curricular programs.
Coordinating the co-curricular calendar and supporting activities, camps, performances, rehearsals, competitions, meetings and events as required.
Ensuring programs are safe, accessible and compliant with College policies, child safety requirements, legislative obligations, work health and safety standards and duty-of-care requirements.
Building effective relationships with students, parents and carers, staff, external providers and community organisations, and managing enquiries, feedback and complaints.
Provide sound financial and administrative oversight through the management of relevant budgets, student recognition programs and publications, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely reporting.
Promoting participation and opportunities for students to build confidence, leadership, self-discipline, resilience, service and community connection.

We are seeking an inspiring and experienced educational leader who possesses:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in education and current TQI registration.
Demonstrated leadership, management and administrative experience.
Strong knowledge of camping, service and cultural activities within a school and wider community context.
The capacity to lead and inspire staff to deliver innovative, high-quality programs and student experiences.
Well-developed organisational skills,



including the ability to meet deadlines and plan for short-term and longer-term strategic outcomes.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving and mediation skills.
A high degree of initiative, sound judgement and drive.
Highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, together with a collaborative approach.
A commitment to the Anglican ethos and the values of Radford College.

Relevant tertiary degree and teaching qualifications
Current TQI registration
Leadership, management and administrative experience
Excellent knowledge of camping, service and cultural activities within the College and wider community context
Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People Clearance
