Teaching IBDP Year *******. Co-ed, academically elite, highly motivated, STEM-focused students in Mandarin and Year 9-10 students in mathematics
Experience teaching the IB Diploma is certainly desirable, but not essential. Accelerated training will be provided if new to the IB.

About the role
Developing a passion for all subjects within the IB Diploma Programme is key to our students' success at our college, but also for their future success in life, and their chosen careers.
The successful candidate will therefore be an experienced, effective Mandarin teacher who can demonstrate leadership in their field. They will be responsible for teaching IB Ab Initio and Language B Mandarin to our Year 11 and 12 students.
As a talented and passionate Mandarin teacher, you will foster an enthusiasm for the language and culture and drive the development and implementation of engaging learning activities, assessments and programs, designed to enhance motivation and underpin the achievement of academic excellence.
Working collaboratively with the Westbourne team,



you will also be a vital support for students in the core components of the IB, such as Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay. About you
You will demonstrate the followingessentialattributes and capabilities:
Be a confident and highly effective classroom teacher with recent experience in IB Mandarin / Chinese or Stage 6 Chinese (HSC).
Be an effective team contributor and demonstrate exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
Have extensive experience in developing programs and delivering syllabus requirements
Demonstrate commitment to the success of program delivery
Able to adapt to current technology to enhance learning
Be a self-aware professional, interested in ongoing professional development
Be committed to supporting student wellbeing
Demonstrate commitment to maintaining a positive college culture

You will demonstrate the following desirable attributes and capabilities:
Willing to provide leadership, voice and initiative in your field
Have experience in teaching IB at Year ******* International Baccalaureate (IB) Chinese / Mandarin (Ab Initio and Language B) and supporting students in the successful completion of the IB core components
Demonstrate an awareness and interest in the IB aims and mission
Willing to collaborate with other teachers within the Westbourne group and other Australian IB schools
Able and willing to develop new and innovative Year 10 programs or projects that enhance the success of students in senior years
Able and willing to contribute to the support of students in the IB core components – Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and CAS.

Successful candidates must comply with the NSW Teacher Accreditation Act, have a current accreditation with NESA and provide a Working with Children Check.
