An established and growing roofing business is seeking an experienced Roof Plumber / Leading Hand to join its team on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified roof plumber looking to take the next step in their career while staying actively involved on the tools.
In this role, you'll lead a small crew, coordinate day-to-day site activities, mentor apprentices and help deliver a range of residential and commercial roofing projects to a high standard.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your crew and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and mentoring a team of 2–3 apprenticesWorking hands-on across roofing projectsReading and interpreting plans, drawings and specificationsOrganising daily site activities and coordinating workflowEnsuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standardMonitoring quality, productivity and project progressIdentifying and resolving issues on site before they become problemsCommunicating with builders, supervisors,



clients and managementSupporting and developing apprentices within the tradeTaking ownership of your crew, site and project outcomesEnsuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We're looking for someone who is confident leading a crew and capable of making sound decisions independently on site.
You'll ideally have:
Roof Plumbing trade qualification – essentialPrevious experience as a Leading Hand or in a similar supervisory positionStrong roofing industry experienceExcellent communication and organisational skillsThe ability to work independently and manage competing prioritiesA strong focus on safety and quality workmanshipA practical, solutions-focused approachA positive attitude and robust work ethicThe ability to lead by exampleA genuine interest in building a long-term career
Desirable – or willingness to obtain:
Police ClearanceNSW Working With Children CheckContractors LicenceMR Licence – preferred but not essential
