We're seeking an experienced WHS Specialist to join a well-established maintenance and equipment services provider based in Yatala, on a permanent basis.

Myndshift Group have been engaged by our client partner, a well-established company specialising in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, to appoint an experienced WHS Specialist into a newly created, permanent position based in Yatala.About the RoleThis newly created role will see you take ownership of safety systems across three workshops (Yatala, Tenterfield and Sippy Downs) managing and implementing safety processes, facilitating inductions and inspections, and acting as the primary safety advisor for the business.
A fully maintained vehicle is provided, with some travel required between the three sites.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and implement safety systems across the Yatala,



Tenterfield and Sippy Downs workshopsIdentify workplace hazards, conduct safety audits, and implement risk control measuresDevelop, update and monitor WHS policies to meet legal and regulatory obligationsInvestigate workplace incidents, injuries and near misses to determine root causes and corrective actionsFacilitate safety inductions, toolbox talks and training programs across all three workshopsAct as the primary safety advisor to leadership and liaise between workers and safety regulatorsWhat's on OfferPermanent, Monday to Friday roleNewly created position with genuine autonomy to shape safety systemsFully maintained vehicle provided for travel across the three workshop sitesWhat We're Looking ForBackground as a Fitter who has transitioned into Safety, or experience in maintenance, civil construction or earthmoving equipment highly regardedStrong understanding of WHS legislation and risk management principlesExperience with incident investigations and compliance activitiesExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsAbility to work autonomously and manage competing prioritiesA practical, solutions-focused approachCertificate IV, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health or a related field
