WesTrac is seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to lead our New Machines Workshop, driving safety, quality, productivity and team performance while ensuring new Caterpillar equipment is assembled, commissioned and delivered to the highest standards.
In this leadership role, you will oversee daily workshop operations, coordinate resources and workflow, and ensure build schedules and customer commitments are achieved.Working closely with technicians and operational leaders, you will develop and support a high-performing team while fostering a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional operational and customer outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach and develop workshop employees to achieve operational objectivesCoordinate daily workflow, labour allocation and resource planningMonitor workshop performance against safety, quality and productivity targetsTroubleshoot equipment and operational issues to minimise downtimeDrive continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action programsEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures and HSE requirementsSkills and ExperiencePrevious experience leading teams within a workshop, maintenance, manufacturing or heavy industry environmentStrong understanding of workplace health, safety and environmental practicesProven ability to coordinate resources, schedules and operational prioritiesSound problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilitiesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsDemonstrated experience driving performance, continuous improvement and team developmentWhy WesTrac?
