We are seeking a high-calibre Management Accountant to join a dynamic, commercially focused corporate advisory team based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
This is a highly analytical role combining management accounting analysis with financial modelling, forecasting, commercial analysis and strategic decision support.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders, analysing financial information and business performance to support commercial, transactional and strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include
Analysing management accounts, financial statements and other financial information to assess business performanceReviewing profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow information and identifying key trends, drivers and variancesUndertaking budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and cash flow analysisReviewing cost structures and pricing assumptions embedded in financial models and business casesBuilding and maintaining detailed financial models and scenario analysesConducting valuation and financial analysis of businesses and investment opportunities, including in connection with M&A; and corporate advisory transactionsAnalysing historical and projected financial performanceUndertaking detailed company, industry and market analysis,



including benchmarking financial and operational performance against industry peers and comparable transactionsPreparing financial analysis, reports and presentations for senior management and key stakeholdersSupporting the assessment of strategic initiatives, investments and potential transactionsWorking with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and transaction counterparties, to obtain, assess and interpret financial and commercial informationIdentifying financial and operational trends and providing insights to support business decision-makingIdentifying opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of financial reporting and analysis
About you
You will have a solid understanding of management accounting principles, combined with excellent analytical, modelling and commercial skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
A relevant degree in accounting, finance, economics, commerce or a related disciplineA minimum of 3+ years' experience in a relevant roleStrong understanding of financial statements and management accountsExcellent financial modelling and analytical capabilityExperience analysing financial performance, budgets, forecasts and cost structuresStrong Excel skills and confidence working with complex financial informationThe ability to analyse businesses, industries and investment opportunitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
