This is a hands-on position suited to a capable Chef who is comfortable working independently when required and as part of an established kitchen team.
You will work alongside our Head Chef and become a key member of our kitchen team at the Golden Nugget Restaurant, a unique tourism and hospitality destination in the historic goldfields town of Maldon, Victoria.Key responsibilitiesPreparation and service of high-quality restaurant mealsWorking across grill, pans, fryer and general kitchen sectionsMaintaining consistent food quality and presentationAssisting with functions, events and group cateringFood preparation and mise en placeStock rotation, portion control and minimising wastageMaintaining excellent food-safety and kitchen-hygiene standardsAssisting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operationsTaking responsibility for kitchen service when requiredSupporting and working effectively with other kitchen and restaurant staffAbout youAt least 3–5 years' commercial kitchen experienceStrong restaurant, hotel, pub,
