A Snapshot of Your Role:
Reporting to the Company Accountant, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while supporting the broader office on an ad-hoc basis.
Finance:
End-to-end ownership of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Processing and coding supplier invoices in Xero, including approval workflows and payment preparation
Raising tenant, customer and other invoices,
including assistance with lease rent reviews
Monitoring Accounts Receivable and professionally following up outstanding accounts
Completing bank and credit card reconciliations in Xero, investigating and resolving unreconciled transactions
Accurately coding transactions to the correct accounts, entities and GST treatment
Maintaining accurate supplier, customer and financial records, with supporting documentation attached in Xero
Assisting with month-end close and audit or year-end requirements
A Little About You:
Strong time management and organisational capabilities
Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and think creatively
Exceptional attention to detail with a high standard of written and verbal communication
At least 2 years' experience in a similar or related bookkeeping or finance administration role
Robust practical experience with Xero is essential
Certificate IV or higher qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping (Highly Desirable)
