From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.Key job responsibilitiesRespond to and elevate network-related incidents in a timely manner, diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and security concernsSupport deployment and onboarding of network capabilities across geographic regions, assisting in the monitoring, testing, and reporting of recent network infrastructure including satellites, gateway sites, and points of presenceMonitor and investigate network performance to ensure maximum efficiency and operational uptime for customersBuild and enhance tools, develop best practices, and refine operational procedures to measurably improve network operationsManage severity 2 and 3 tickets while attending on-call rotations during business hours and weekendsLead and mentor other Network Support Engineers with network issue diagnosis and operating proceduresCollaborate with cross-functional teams including network, software, and security engineersExport Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.Basic Qualifications6+ years of technical support experienceExperience with network engineering for large-scale networks,



including diagnosing network impacting issuesKnowledge of internet fundamentals and cloud computing conceptsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent, or experience with networking and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig, cURL or related) at an advanced levelPreferred QualificationsExperience with programming/scripting (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby and/or PHP), or experience in SQL Server/MySQL and experience with automation and any version control toolsExperience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure, or experience driving collaborative projects from conception to deliveryExperience with satellite-based telecommunication networkingAcknowledgement of countryIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
