THE OPPORTUNITYHere at Norweld, we are continuing to grow our team to keep up with customer demand!
This means we have opportunities for Boilermakers or Welders with experience in aluminium fabrication to join our head office and production facility in Cairns.
We offer genuine work/life balance with a Monday-Thursday full time roster (with optional overtime on Fridays), in a clean workshop, plus staff incentives and monthly production bonuses.
High level MIG and TIG welding skills are desirable,



as you will be responsible for manufacturing and welding Norweld tray and canopy components for high-end vehicle builds, with the support of an experienced team.
Base salary range of $80k-$85k + overtime + bonuses.Your responsibilities will include:Carrying out welding activities to manufacture, fabricate and repair parts and componentsEnsuring trays and canopies are cleaned once work is completeUndertaking activities in a team environment and meeting safety and production targetsCarrying out inspections and quality control throughout the manufacturing and production processEnsuring the health and safety of all customers, visitors and team membersIdentifying, assessing and controlling workplace hazardsMaintaining workplace cleanliness and tool and equipment careWHO WE ARE LOOKING FORThe ideal candidate will have:Experience in aluminium fabricationStrong MIG and TIG welding skillsExcellent quality of work and time management skillsCurrent relevant licences and certificates, where requiredStrong, ongoing commitment to workplace health & safetyGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a multi-skilled team environmentSound knowledge of 4x4 Makes, Models and popular accessories and brands (desirable)Passion for the outdoors, off-roading and camping is a plus!
