This newly createdSenior Data Engineer / 2IC rolewill work closely with the Head of Data & AI, combining hands‐on engineering with the prospect to influenceplatform design, engineering standards and data practices.
You'll play a key role in the transformation, with the autonomy to challenge existing approaches, improve how data is engineered and help shape the future data platform.

What you'll be doing
Play a key role in theMicrosoft Fabric migration
Design and build scalable data solutions across the modern data platform
Contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns and quality practices
Work across data modelling, ETL/ELT, transformation and integration
Help shape how data is structured, governed and made available for analytics and AI
Provide technical guidance and mentoring across the wider engineering capability
What you'll bring
We're looking for a strong Senior Data Engineer who combines deep technical capability with the confidence to influence and operate with autonomy.




You'll ideally bring:
AdvancedSQLand strong database development skills
Strong data modelling, ETL/ELT and transformation experience
Experience withMicrosoft Fabric - Bonus!
Understanding of modern lakehouse, warehouse andMedallion architecture
Strong understanding of data quality, lineage, metadata and governance
Experience with Git, code review and CI/CD
Python and/or PySpark would be advantageous
A track record of taking ownership and improving engineering practices
Most importantly, you'll be someone who doesn't need everything mapped out for you.
You can work through ambiguity, challenge assumptions, make sound technical decisions and bring stakeholders with you.
