We're looking for a Payroll & HR Administration Officer to join an established Australian business in the manufacturing sector.
This is a hands‐on role combining end‐to‐end payroll, HR administration and HRIS responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys payroll but is looking to further develop their broader People & Culture capability.About the RoleReporting into the People & Culture function, you will be responsible for ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, while also supporting key HR administration and employee lifecycle activities.Your responsibilities will include:Processing end‐to‐end fortnightly Australian payrollManaging timesheets, payroll adjustments, deductions, bonuses and remuneration changesPayroll tax, superannuation,
WorkCover and STP requirementsPayroll reconciliations and payroll reportingAdministering salary packaging and novated leasesResponding to employee payroll queries and resolving issuesSupporting annual remuneration reviews and payroll complianceInterpreting awards and ensuring compliance with Fair Work requirementsMaintaining accurate employee records and HRIS dataManaging onboarding, offboarding, employment contracts and variationsSupporting HRIS administration and process improvementsWorking closely with People & Culture and Finance to ensure data accuracy and smooth payroll processesAbout YouWe're looking for someone with:Approx 3 years' experience in payroll, ideally covering Australian multi‐state payrollStrong experience with HRIS/payroll systems - experience with Kronos is highly regardedGood understanding of Australian payroll legislation, payroll tax, WorkCover and superannuationExperience with salary packaging and novated leasesUnderstanding of awards and Fair Work complianceStrong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and formulasExceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracyStrong organisational and time‐management skillsExcellent communication and problem‐solving skillsThe ability to manage confidential information and competing prioritiesExperience working within a manufacturing, operational or multi‐site environment will be highly regarded.Why This Role?
