Oakridge Services is seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer with robust practical experience delivering water and sewer pipeline projects.This is a contractor/subcontractor side construction role requiring hands on involvement in planning, resourcing and delivering self-performed works.ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCEDemonstrated construction experience in water and sewer pipelines, including installation, tie-ins, testing and commissioningHigh level knowledge and practical application of the SEQ Water Supply and Sewerage Design & Construction Code and relevant authority standardsProven experience working for a civil contractor or subcontractor delivering the worksStrong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and constructabilityAbility to interpret IFC drawings, specifications and project requirementsKEY RESPONSIBILITIESPlan and coordinate construction activities and work frontsPlan and manage labour, plant,
materials and subcontractorsManage procurement to meet program requirementsWork directly with Supervisors and Foremen to drive site deliveryResolve technical, design and constructability issuesManage RFIs, ITPs, inspections, quality records and as-constructed documentationIdentify and manage variations, quantities, costs and progress claimsCoordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, testing and commissioningMonitor program, productivity and project costsLiaise with head contractors, clients, designers and authoritiesREQUIREMENTSCivil Engineering degree or equivalentStrong water and sewer pipeline construction experienceStrong working knowledge of SEQ requirementsContractor/subcontractor-side experience is essentialStrong technical, commercial and site delivery capabilityWe are looking for an engineer who understands how pipeline projects are planned, resourced, constructed, tested and commercially managed from the subcontractor side.
