In this role, you will take ownership of approved network designs and deliver them through to successful service activation on the live network.You will be responsible for planning, configuring, testing, and commissioning services across fibre, transport, and IP networks while coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely, high‐quality, and error‐free service delivery.
The role requires strong technical hands‐on expertise, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work in a shift‐based environment.Take ownership of approved orders from the Design team and deliver them through to successful service activation within committed timeframesPlan provisioning activities, book change windows, prepare configuration scripts, and verify all pre‐requisites before activationConfigure, activate, and commission services on the live network in accordance with the approved design and change management processesCoordinate with Field Engineers, NOC, customer technical contacts, and third parties (e.g., carriers, NBN Co, vendors) to ensure end‐to‐end service deliveryPerform thorough service testing and validation against acceptance criteria and obtain customer sign‐off where requiredDiagnose and resolve issues encountered during provisioning; escalates to Design, Vendor Support, or senior engineers when necessaryExecute rollback procedures cleanly when required and ensure the network is returned to a stable stateUpdate inventory, provisioning records,



and order management systems accurately upon completion of each taskProduce handover documentation for Service Operations and ensure monitoring and alarming are correctly configuredProvide post‐activation support during the warranty/early‐life period and assist with fault investigationWork shifts and after‐hours change windows as required, following on‐call and escalation proceduresIdentify recurring provisioning issues or process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesComply with workplace Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at all timesActively contribute to process improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to workflows and best practicesUndertake any other duties and activities as requested by the line manager or as required by business needsRequirementsEducation : Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or related engineering field (Diploma with solid relevant experience may be considered)Experience : 4–8 years of hands‐on experience in network provisioning and service activation within a telecom or service provider environmentTechnical Skills:Hands‐on configuration and provisioning of Juniper (MX), Cisco, and Nokia devicesStrong experience with SecureCRT, WinSCP, and scripting for device configurationDWDM provisioning experience on Nokia PSS and Huawei platforms using NFM-P and NFM-TWorking knowledge of Alcatel SDH *****, ****, ****), Cisco WIP routers, Nokia NGTT/NGCE-AA, and Netconfig rolesExperience with Microsoft Azure and AWS networking, including tunnel creationOperational knowledge of NBN Portal, One Manage, TEMIP, Voice Switches, and OSS systemsExcellent coordination and stakeholder management skillsStrong problem‐solving and troubleshooting abilities under pressureOther Requirements:Willingness to work in rotational shifts and after‐hours change windowsHuawei certifications - NCE-CE (Cloud & Enterprise) and NCE-TX (Transmission)Experience with fibre, transport, and IP/MPLS service provisioning
