This is a site-based role acting as 2IC to the HR Manager, ideal for someone who thrives on complex ER/IR work and wants to build the capability of a site HR function.This is a fixed term contract role, running until the end of December ****, on a site-based 5/2 roster with one RDO per month.
Candidates can be local to Blackwater or DIDO from the surrounding areas.No flights are provided.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner closely with leaders to provide practical, solutions-focused HR adviceAct as 2IC to the HR Manager, supporting day-to-day leadership and site prioritiesLead and manage complex employee relations and industrial relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, disputes, and escalationsCoach leaders through challenging people scenarios with confidence and claritySupport the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboardingDrive engagement, culture,



and continuous improvement initiativesUse data and insights to inform workforce decisions and identify trendsEnsure consistent, compliant application of policies and site processesCoach and develop the HR Officer, building capability and strengthening the site HR functionDrive improvements in HR systems, processes, and ways of workingAbout YouPrevious site-based HR Advisor experience is essential (non-negotiable)Solid ER/IR experience, with the confidence to manage complex and sensitive cases end to endSound knowledge of employment legislation and industrial frameworksAbility to build credibility quickly and influence at all levels of the businessCalm under pressure and comfortable with ambiguity and competing prioritiesTakes ownership, shows initiative, and follows through on outcomesPractical, approachable, and outcome-focusedWhat's on OfferFixed term contract until the end of December ****Up to $165K base salary plus superAnnual performance bonusAccommodation options: camp access or shared housing (subject to availability), or a Local Living Allowance if sourcing your own local accommodation
