We are an inclusive school that welcomes educators of all backgrounds - from experienced classroom teachers to passionate recent graduates.About the RoleAs a VCE Health and Human Development Teacher at ICOM, you will help students understand health beyond the textbook – exploring the biological, social, environmental and global factors that influence the health and wellbeing of individuals and populations.You will bring contemporary health issues, research and real-world examples into the classroom, encouraging students to analyse evidence, question assumptions and understand the complexity of health in Australia and globally.Alongside preparing students for VCE assessment and examinations, you will help them develop health literacy,



critical thinking and an informed understanding of the world around them.We are looking for a teacher who:Has strong knowledge of Health and Human Development and the VCE HHD curriculumCan connect curriculum concepts to contemporary Australian and global health issuesMakes data, health research and population-health concepts accessible and engagingEncourages students to analyse evidence and think critically about factors influencing health and wellbeingCan explicitly teach the skills and strategies required for VCE assessment and examinationsBuilds positive relationships while maintaining high expectations for student learningWorks collaboratively and contributes positively to the wider College communityQualifications & RequirementsRelevant tertiary qualifications in Secondary Education or equivalentAppropriate Health and Human Development teaching qualifications/methodA commitment to the values and ethos of the CollegeCulturePeople enjoy working at ICOM because the community is genuine, the support is real, and the work matters.
