The RoleAs a Fire Protection Senior Associate Engineer, you'll take a leading role in delivering practical, compliant design solutions across a diverse range of projects.
Based in our Spring Hill office, you'll work closely with our fire protection team and wider multidisciplinary group to guide outcomes from concept through to completion.You'll lead technical delivery, mentor team members, coordinate with other disciplines, and build strong client relationships through clear communication and practical, well-considered advice.This role is ideal for an experienced engineer ready to step into a senior leadership position, support team development, and help shape the continued growth of our fire protection capability.What You'll Be DoingLeading fire protection design across a wide range of projectsOverseeing documentation, calculations, drawings, schedules, and specificationsReviewing design outputs and supporting quality assurance across deliverablesMentoring engineers and designers within the teamCoordinating with internal disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire safety, and structural teamsLiaising with clients, architects, contractors, certifiers, authorities, and external stakeholdersSupporting project planning, resourcing, fee input, and delivery strategyEnsuring designs meet Australian Standards, National Construction Code,



and relevant authority requirementsContributing to business development, client relationships, and team growthWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent qualificationRPEQ and CPEng accreditation, or a clear pathway toward achieving both.Robust attention to detail and ability to manage work across simultaneous projectsSound knowledge of the National Construction Code, Building Code of Australia, relevant Australian Standards, and fire protection authority processesExperience in dry and wet fire services design and documentation7+ years' experience in fire protection services design within building servicesDemonstrated experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary design inputsAbility to mentor, guide, and support junior and intermediate team membersExperience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM environmentsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising directly with clients and project stakeholdersA proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial awarenessAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing teamMake Your MoveIf you're a senior fire protection engineer who enjoys leading projects, mentoring people, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing to meaningful work, we'd love to hear from you.
