This expanding service delivers excellent clinical training within a multidisciplinary team setting, working closely with skilled midwifery, nursing and allied health colleagues.
The role has a predominantly obstetric and emergency gynaecology focus, including antenatal clinics, birth suite work, high-risk pregnancy care, and emergency gynaecology.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide safe and effective supervised clinical management of obstetric and gynaecology patientsManage normal and abnormal pregnancy, labour, puerperium and obstetric emergenciesPerform and assist with obstetric procedures including instrumental delivery and caesarean sectionParticipate in after-hours, night and weekend rostering, audits, education and quality improvement activitiesWhat We're Looking ForThis position requires at least 12 months experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Senior RMO level or above, eligibility for registration as a Medical Practitioner in Victoria, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Baseline comfort with operative obstetrics is highly desirable.
The role offers sufficient clinical exposure to support completion of the RANZCOG Associate Training Program (Advanced Procedural – APTP).
