With our Residential Early Parenting Centre's in Noble Park and Hastings and Community home-based services across Victoria, we play a special role in providing parenting education and support to thousands of families every year to give their children the best start in life.Our programs are research-informed and tailored to meet the unique needs of each family and enable families to nurture, protect and enhance their children's, safety, health and development.

Guided by our Model of Care, you will create a safe, therapeutic environment that builds parenting capacity and supports children's development.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate purposeful play to promote children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and communication growth.Coach and support parents through modeling,
education, and play-based interactions to help them understand child cues and developmental needs.Collaborate with families and staff to identify, respond to, and meet individual family goals.Provide inclusive care that builds on unique family strengths and ensures a culturally protected, welcoming experience.About youRelevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education, Nursing, Children's Services Family Support, Community Services or a related discipline with demonstrated experience working with young children and families.Demonstrated understanding of child development and the importance of play in supporting children's development, wellbeing, learning and connection with their parents and caregiversExperience supporting families in the early parenting period through education, modelling, coaching and practical guidanceDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and in partnership with families.Health Care Worker ImmunisationsExcellent communication, organisational skills and ability to be self-directedBenefits of working with usGenerous public sector benefits including salary packaging, ADO's and 14 weeks paid parental leave5 weeks annual leave (pro rata for part time)Extensive training, study leave and opportunities for professional developmentAccess to QEC's wellbeing program, Employee Assistance Program and team building activitiesWe are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children, families, visitors and employees at QEC.All QEC employees maintain current Health Care Worker Immunisation requirements, undergo a Criminal History Check and hold a current Employee Working with Children Check.
