As the operation embarks on its next chapter this unique operation has engaged us to find a Senior Environmental Advisor to join the site based team.About the RoleThis is a site-based technical role central to the environmental compliance and performance of the operation.
You will take ownership of Environmental Authority (EA) conditions, ensuring the site operates within its approvals and that compliance obligations are understood and met across the business.
You will lead the implementation of environmental management plans, embedding them into day-to-day site practice rather than treating them as static documents, and you will manage water reporting and monitoring requirements, ensuring data integrity and timely regulatory submissions.
You'll work closely with operations, technical services, and the leadership team to keep environmental performance aligned with the site's growth trajectory, and you'll play a key role supporting the business through its ramp-up phase and beyond.About YouYou bring solid site-based experience in environmental management within coal mining or a comparable heavy industry, with genuine depth in EA compliance, management plan implementation, and water monitoring and reporting.
You're comfortable being the technical authority on environmental matters while working collaboratively with operational teams to get compliance embedded in practice, not just on paper.
