We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead civil design delivery on urban land development and infrastructure projects across Sydney.
You will own design quality, program and stakeholder interface from concept through construction-ready documentation.About the roleYou will manage the design of subdivision, roads, stormwater, earthworks and associated civil infrastructure, producing detailed models and drawings in 12D and AutoCAD and driving designs through internal review, council and service authority approval.
This is a hands-on senior role: you will still produce design, not only review it, while coordinating the wider project team and keeping delivery on time and to standard.What you will doManage delivery of all design aspects of the project on time and to the required standardsDevelop detailed designs and documentation in 12D and AutoCADPrepare design packages for council and service authority approvalInterface regularly with clients, councils,



service authorities and other consultantsApply Australian Standards, council design standards and service authority construction standardsEmbed safety in design practices throughout the design processMentor junior staff and support coordination across disciplines as requiredAbout you6+ years' civil design experienceTertiary qualification in civil engineering or equivalentProven experience on urban land development and civil infrastructure projectsProficient in 12D and AutoCADStrong working knowledge of Australian Standards and council design standardsGood understanding of service authority design approval and construction standardsSound interpersonal and communication skills, including client-facing liaisonPractical understanding of safety in design
