Production Supervisor – Timber ManufacturingDesigner Timber ProductsFull Time | Clayton, VICDesigner Timber Products is a specialist timber merchant and manufacturer supplying architectural timber products to the building, joinery and design industries.We are looking for an experienced and practical Production Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our production floor.This is a hands-on leadership role.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, understands manufacturing and isn't afraid to get involved on the factory floor when required.The RoleWorking closely with management, you will be responsible for coordinating our production team and ensuring work moves efficiently through the factory while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Your responsibilities will include:Supervise and coordinate production staff throughout the dayAllocate jobs and establish daily production prioritiesEnsure staff understand job requirements and expectationsMonitor workflow, productivity and job progressEnsure production deadlines and customer requirements are achievedMonitor workmanship and finished product qualityAssist with machine setups, changeovers and troubleshootingIdentify and resolve production bottlenecksMonitor material usage, wastage and reworkTrain, support and develop production employeesMonitor attendance, punctuality, breaks and general workplace performanceMaintain a safe, clean and organised production environmentEnsure WHS procedures and safe machine operating practices are followedCoordinate machinery maintenance and report faults or downtimeWork with management to improve production efficiency,
