Some of our customers include Puffing Billy Railway, Country Fire Authority, McDonalds and GJ Gardner Homes just to name a few.We are a small, established team and take a fairly simple approach to work: do a great job, look after our customers, support each other and enjoy coming to work.Due to continued growth, we are now adding another experienced Security Technician to our team.The RoleThis is a hands-on Security Technician position covering the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of CCTV, alarm and access control systems.You'll work across a variety of projects including commercial properties, factories, storage facilities, businesses, new homes and residential installations.You'll be trusted to manage your jobs and organise your own day.
We don't micromanage and we're not interested in watching the clock.
What matters to us is that the work is completed properly, customers are looked after and you communicate with the team.For the right person, this role also offers genuine career progression.Our goal is to develop someone who can eventually take on more responsibility, including site inspections, system design, preparing quotes and working directly with customers to develop security solutions.If you're an experienced technician who wants to move beyond simply being handed jobs every day, this could be a great opportunity to take the next step in your career.ResponsibilitiesYour role will initially include:Installing and commissioning CCTV, alarm and access control systemsProgramming and configuring security systemsFault finding, servicing and maintaining existing systemsCompleting system upgrades and modificationsTraining customers on how to use their security systemsProviding occasional technical support to customersManaging your daily jobs,



materials and workloadLiaising with customers, builders, electricians and other tradesCompleting installations to a high professional standardAs you develop within the role, there will also be opportunities to become involved in:Attending sites to assess customer security requirementsDesigning CCTV, alarm and access control solutionsPreparing scopes of workAssisting with and eventually preparing customer quotationsProviding technical advice to customersManaging projects from initial enquiry through to completionMentoring junior technicians and apprentices as the team growsSkills & ExperienceWe are looking for someone who can confidently work independently and already has solid industry experience.Ideally, you will have:Minimum 3 years' experience installing and servicing electronic security systemsCurrent Victorian Driver LicenceCurrent Victorian Security Installer Registration/LicenceOpen Cabling RegistrationConstruction Induction Card – White CardStrong experience with CCTV, alarm and access control systemsGood fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExcellent customer service and communication skillsA skilled and reliable approach to your workThe ability to work independently without constant supervisionThe confidence to communicate directly with customers and understand their requirementsExperience with the following would be highly regarded:Inner Range InceptionInner Range IntegritiHikvision CCTV and security productsYou don't need to know every product we use.
