This is an prospect to join an established and highly regarded Industrial electrical contractor with a strong pipeline of major project work in the Mining, Ports and Water Infrastructure industries across Newcastle and the Hunter.

About the Role
As Electrical Project Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of multiple projects across the Hunter.
While you'll work closely with the General Manager, Clients and onsite teams, a significant focus of the position will be commercial and contractual management.
You'll be responsible for ensuring projects remain commercially controlled, contractual obligations are met and key notices, claims and documentation are managed within required timeframes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and administer project contracts across multiple projects
Develop and maintain project programs using Microsoft Project
Manage EOTs, variations, reports, NCR's and contractual notices, ensuring all requirements are met within the relevant timeframes
Oversee project budgets and commercial performance, reporting directly to the General Manager
Manage procurement and subcontractor/supplier commercial processes
Attend site and project meetings, providing commercial and contractual input
Manage monthly progress claims and project reporting
Support tendering and project planning as required
Manage project HR requirements




About You
We're looking for an experienced project professional who combines strong Industrial Electrical project knowledge with commercial and contractual capability.
You'll ideally have:
An Electrical background either as a construction or engineering professional
Strong understanding of project contracts and commercial processes
Demonstrated experience with EOTs, variations and contractual notices
Experience managing project budgets and commercial reporting
Strong procurement and subcontractor management experience
Experience with project programming, ideally Microsoft Project
Excellent organisational and documentation skills
Able to meet and administer project and company KPI's in relation to projects
Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and site teams
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare professional reports and correspondence
The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Experience in projects based around mining, ports and heavy infrastructure
The Opportunity
You'll have genuine responsibility for the commercial and contractual performance of significant projects, while working closely with the people delivering them onsite.
For the right person, there is flexibility around the employment structure, with permanent and 6–12 month contract arrangements available depending on experience and availability.
