As part of our continued growth, we're looking for a hands-on Accountant to join our finance team and take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations across our growing group of hospitality venues.About the RoleWorking closely with our CFO, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations across our group of hospitality venues.This is an execution-focused role where you'll be hands-on with the numbers, owning your work from start to finish and ensuring everything is accurate, reconciled and delivered on time.What You'll Be DoingYou'll take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function across the group, including:Managing bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliationsOwning the month-end close process and preparing journals, accruals and adjustmentsPreparing monthly financial and management reports, including variance analysisManaging AP, AR and payroll reconciliations and following up outstanding itemsPreparing BAS, FBT and other statutory requirements and supporting auditsSupporting budgeting,



forecasting and cash flow reportingSupporting venue teams with financial queries and reportingIdentifying and implementing improvements to finance processes and systemsYou'll also support our upcoming Microsoft Business Central implementation.About YouWe're looking for someone who is practical, proactive and genuinely enjoys being hands-on with the numbers.
You'll be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your responsibilities and getting into the detail to resolve issues rather than waiting for someone else to do it.You'll ideally have:3+ years' experience in bookkeeping, accounting or a similar finance roleStrong understanding of reconciliations, journals and month-end processesExperience across AP, AR and general ledgerExperience with financial reporting and BAS/FBTStrong Excel and accounting systems skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyThe ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills and confidence working with internal stakeholdersA proactive, hands-on approach and a solid focus on getting things doneHospitality or multi-site experience will be highly regardedIf you're an Accountant or a Senior Bookkeeper looking for your next challenge and takes pride in getting the detail right and getting things done, we'd love to hear from you.
