This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of MC/HC vehicles across local and linehaul transport operations.Specific duties for this role will include transporting freight safely and efficiently, completing associated transport documentation, complying with fatigue management and heavy vehicle regulations, adhering to loading and axle weight requirements, and maintaining vehicles to a high operational standard.The successful applicant will be prepared to work flexible hours as required to support operational demands.Essential Skills & ExperienceCurrent MC or HC Driver's Licence requiredPrevious experience operating heavy vehicles in a transport and logistics environmentStrong understanding of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and road transport compliance requirementsDemonstrated experience complying with fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirementsSound knowledge of load restraint, axle weight and vehicle permit requirementsAbility to complete transport documentation accurately and efficientlyStrong focus on safety, customer service and operational excellenceStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of peopleAbility to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolutionAbility to be versatile and adaptable to work in a demanding environmentAbout YouYou will be committed to safety in the workplace and be committed to 100% Chain of Responsibility compliance.
