Development Officer - Community Engagement, Alumni and FundraisingThe Development Officer will work closely with the Head of Community Engagement in a wide-ranging role supporting initiatives involving community and family engagement, Chevalier Past Students, events, donor relationships and fundraising campaigns.Key responsibilitiesEngage with the local community to represent the college and/or gain supportLiaise with parents and caregivers to increase engagement in college activitiesImplement strategies and success measures to encourage family engagement with the college, including events such as Mother's Day High Tea, Father's Day BBQ, Sportsfest, 'G' Day, and Open DayImplement family engagement strategies utilising parent volunteers and committees, as appropriateWork with and support the Chevalier Past Students to achieve agreed objectivesProvide administrative support to the Chevalier Past Students for reunionsConduct tours of the college for past students, as requiredWork with the Digital Media and Marketing Officer to maximise effectiveness of the alumni social media page, LinkedIn and other mediums including magazines and newslettersEngage with senior students to ensure transition to Chevalier Past Students including mentoringWork with the Head of Community Engagement to maintain any current gifts and commitmentsSupport the fundraising strategy as directed by the Head of Community EngagementSource and assist volunteer fundraising committees as neededEnsure correct processing and receipt of donations and liaise with the Finance department to ensure accurate reportingIssue End of Financial Year receiptsMaintain administrative aspects of donor development and care, including communicationsDevelop and maintain positive relationships with donors and obtain and record feedback of donor experienceAbout youDemonstrated networking skills and the ability to grow and foster relationships with the wider communityExperience in event managementExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailWell-developed organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment, deal with multiple and urgent priorities and meet timelinesWell-developed IT skills and experience in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programsThe ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to achieve shared outcomes and resultsThe ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders to establish and maintain strong and productive working relationshipsThe ability to develop and sustain strong, appropriate relationships that support and enhance the charism of the CollegeAbout usChevalier College's rich 80-year history is shaped by the MSC values of kindness, compassion, inclusivity, and hospitality.
