We need someone who can take ownership of jobs, help lead the workshop team and get things moving without needing to be constantly directed.The roleThis is a hands-on senior position combining mechanical fitting with responsibility for helping organise and lead the team.You'll work across a variety of machinery builds, repairs, maintenance, installations and project work rather than doing the same production maintenance every day.Day to day, you'll be involved in:Mechanical fitting, assembly and machinery buildsMaintenance, fault finding and repairsConveyors and materials-handling equipmentWorkshop machining and fabrication as requiredReading drawings and working through jobs independentlyHelping coordinate jobs and priorities in the workshopGuiding less experienced team membersIdentifying what needs to be done and getting on with itSite installations, servicing and commissioning when requiredMost work is based at our Yatala workshop, with some local and interstate site work.Interstate travel varies depending on projects - at times it may be around once a month, while at other times there may only be a handful of trips throughout the year.
