Based in our Head Office in Brisbane, this role is central to our project delivery success.
As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, working closely with project managers, architects, and clients.Key responsibilitiesPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects of varying size and complexityReview project specifications, plans, and technical drawings to determine material and labour requirementsConduct site inspections and assessments to identify potential cost implications and project-specific challengesObtain and analyse quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, and material vendors to ensure competitive pricingDevelop comprehensive budgets and cost breakdowns for project proposals and tendersCollaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project requirements and scopeMaintain detailed records and documentation of all estimates, quotations, and cost analysesStay informed of current material prices, labour rates,



and industry trends to ensure estimates remain competitive and accurateSupport the bid process by preparing professional tender documents and cost summariesWhat we're looking forProven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar estimating role within the construction industry - min 5 yearsStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and labour practices relevant to building and civil worksProficiency with estimating software and toolsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit would be advantageousExcellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate estimates with minimal errorsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify cost-saving opportunitiesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documentsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholdersCertification or formal qualification in construction estimating, quantity surveying, or a related field is highly desirableWhat's On OfferCompetitive salary $85,000-$110,000 commensurate with experiencePermanent, full-time position with genuine job securityA diverse pipeline of projects, spanning commercial new builds through to specialist healthcare and medical fit-outsSupportive, experienced leadership team and a strong safety-first cultureCareer progression opportunities within a growing Brisbane-based companyTo find out more about our company, head to our website
