Our Business Advisory Services team is a core part of the firm's growth strategy, and we're looking for an experienced Manager to lead client engagements, mentor junior staff, and help shape the future of the practice.
About the Role
As a Manager in our Business Advisory Services division, you'll take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, delivering compliance, tax, and strategic advisory services while acting as a trusted advisor to business owners.
You'll play a key role in managing engagements end-to-end, developing junior team members, and identifying opportunities to add value for clients beyond the numbers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of SME and private business clients across various industries, acting as their primary point of contactOversee preparation and review of financial statements, income tax returns, and management reportsProvide proactive business advisory services, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planningIdentify and advise on tax planning opportunities and structuring for clientsReview work completed by graduates and intermediate accountants,



providing technical guidance and feedbackBuild and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional servicesManage engagement budgets, timelines, and profitabilitySupport the Partner group with business development and client pitchesContribute to the training, mentoring, and career development of junior team membersStay current on changes in tax legislation, accounting standards, and industry developments
About You
Minimum 5+ years' experience in public practice, ideally within a mid-tier or top-tier firmStrong technical knowledge across tax, accounting standards, and business advisory servicesDemonstrated experience managing client relationships and engagement deliveryProven ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior staffExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for clientsStrong commercial acumen and a genuine interest in helping businesses growProficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, CCH, or similar)A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities
