This is a genuinely technical infrastructure role working across large-scale Linux, enterprise storage and HPC environments.We're looking for someone who knows storage properly - not just someone who has touched it as part of a broader infrastructure role.You'll be working across a multi-petabyte workplace, spanning disk and tape, Linux, virtualisation, cloud, containers and high-performance infrastructure.What you'll be doingDay-to-day administration of storage, compute and supporting infrastructureManaging large-scale, multi-petabyte storage environments across disk and tapeTroubleshooting system, storage and performance issuesCapacity planning, usage trending and storage lifecycle managementManaging technologies including auto-tiering, replication and HSMSupporting Linux HA and clustered environmentsIntegrating storage with HPC, cloud,



virtualisation and container infrastructureMonitoring environments using Zabbix, Prometheus and GrafanaAutomating infrastructure and operational tasks using Ansible / IaCWhat we're looking forDeep enterprise storage experience across both disk and tapeExperience working with large-scale, multi-vendor storage environmentsStrong understanding of storage from the physical medium through to the application layerExperience Provisioning PoolsExperience with Zabbix, Prometheus and GrafanaDevOps / Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly AnsibleGood understanding of networking and Linux-based infrastructure servicesAbility to use AI tooling responsibly to support day-to-day engineering
