The position joins the growing team in a permanent, full-time capacity and will report directly to the Business and Operations Manager.A company vehicle and necessary tools required will be provided as part of this position.Duties & Responsibilities:Onsite installations, primarily in residential environment of various products including but not limited to:Framed, semi frameless and frameless shower screens including glazing hardware and caulkingMade to measure glass productsWardrobe sliding doors and internal wardrobe shelvingCommercial glazed internal office partitionsInternal glazed fixed windowsGlass splashbacksRemoval of existing glass products from time to timeCarefully and safely load, transport and handle all glass productsSite measuring,
plan interpretation and confirming measurements prior to manufacture and installationCutting and handling glass and various metalsFabrication of shower screen panelsSupplier stock pick up or deliveries as requiredResponsible for keeping company vehicle, tools and equipment clean and in good working orderOperate all company machinery in a safe manner in accordance with all state and national legislative requirementsComply with all workplace health and safety procedures.Maintaining an excellent rapport with clients and suppliers at all timesSkills and experience:To be successful for this position, the applicant must:Have at least 5 years' experience in the field of glass installation and glazing in a similar roleExperience in the building and construction industryHave a current driver's licence and excellent driving recordHave an approved and current Victoria Construction White Card.Have permanent work rights with no restrictions in AustraliaBe well presented and spokenBe able to problem solve, work independently and unsupervisedTake the upmost pride in delivery and workmanship of our products and serviceBe reliable and time flexibleBe a team playerBe open to undertaking further installation training on other Onyx products and servicesHave excellent time management and organisation skillsFurther AttributesPro-active and "can do" attitude, with a problem-solving mindsetHighly organised with attention to detailTime efficient and ability to work to deadlinesAbility to work under pressure and unsupervised at timesA willingness to learn and grow with new challenges(A remuneration package based on experience will be negotiated with the successful applicant)
