Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Maintenance Planner to join our high-performing team at Olive Downs Complex.As a key member of the Olive Downs Complex team, you'll be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance, servicing and repairs across truck, dozer and ancillary fleets, ensuring compliance with safety and statutory requirements while maximising equipment availability and operational productivity.
The role also manages maintenance systems, budgets, defect reporting and supplier relationships to ensure parts availability, cost-effective maintenance delivery and efficient short- to medium-term fleet planningRoster: 8:6 | Location: Olive Downs Complex | Employment Type: FulltimeAs the Maintenance Planner, your duties will include:Planning the scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs of Truck, Dozer & Ancillary fleets and infrastructure ensuring compliance with all safety and statutory requirementsMaintaining and utilising the Maintenance Management System to generate planned maintenance and major component repair cost budgetsLiaising with internal and external suppliers to ensure that all parts and materials required to effect repairs/services are available at the scheduled timesMonitoring and maintaining the known work list Defect Reporting System and the on-site Condition Analysis Systems to ensure information is used to update the maintenance and service schedulesMinimising plant costs through continually investigating alternative suppliers for competitive pricingResponsibility for the short and medium-term maintenance scheduling and planning for our plant and equipment to maximise fleet availability and optimise the productivity of the operationAbout youRelevant Trade/Tertiary Qualifications or equivalent experienceExperience scheduling & planning maintenance activities for heavy machinery/processing plant preferably within the mining sectorEffective communication skills and stakeholder engagement with ability to negotiate and influence outcomesDemonstrated experience in maintaining Caterpillar, Liebherr, Sandvik or Hitachi heavy equipmentCompetence in computer-based maintenance systems and Microsoft office (project, word, and excel), knowledge of JDE highly regardedWhat's on offerAt Thiess, our people are the heart of everything we do.
