Aje was created in **** to translate the effortless Australian lifestyle into fashion.Designed for an elegance grounded in ease, our garments empower our customers to feel relaxed, assured and beautiful.Our company strives to invite freedom of self-expression in each architectural store environment, bringing our customers a confidence and beauty that elevates their every day to an occasion.Join icon fashion house Aje as Designer - Aje Athletica & Studio at our Aje Head Office in Melbourne.About this opportunity:Support the design and development of Aje Athletica & Studio collections, combining performance-focused innovation with the brand's signature aestheticResearch market trends, consumer preferences and emerging trends to inform design decisionsCreate mood boards, colour palettes, and sketches to develop innovative and cohesive collection conceptsSupport in creating innovative, functional products that delight and engage customersCreate and maintain tech packs and critical style information including CADs and coversheets, clearly communicating all design, fit, trim, technical construction and finishing details to suppliersWork closely with Production and Garment Tech teams to ensure samples meet quality, fit and performance standardsProvide detailed technical specifications and support fittings to ensure designs are accurately translated into final productCommunicate lab dip and strike-off feedback to suppliers, ensuring development aligns with the critical pathUpdate seasonal design development documents including line sheets and style boards to ensure accuracy across the wider teamWork with the Product Developer to select appropriate fabrics and materials, considering performance, cost, quality and suitabilityManage fabrics, trims,



prints and developments in line with critical path timelines and pricing expectationsSupport commercial outcomes by considering costings and product lifecycle throughout the design processYou will bring:Robust interest in colour, design detail, fabrics and print development, with a passion for activewear and lifestyle apparelHighly organised and detail orientedExperience working in a rapid-paced design setting, managing multiple seasons simultaneouslyUnderstanding of garment construction, fit and fabrications, ideally within performance or activewear categoriesProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with strong CAD skillsAbility to think critically, take initiative and solve problemsStrong communication skills when working with cross-functional teams and suppliersEfficient and energetic in the undertaking of tasksWhat do we offer?
