The mine is a deep, sub-level open stoping operation with complex mining conditions.The Rosebery Mine has been at the heart of the Rosebery community since **** and is one of Tasmania's largest and oldest continuously operating, underground mines producing zinc, copper and lead concentrates, as well as gold doré.
It supports approximately 500 employees and their families, has a strong community focus and engages a wide range of local businesses from across Tasmania in its supply chain boosting the economy of the West Coast of Tasmania and beyond.The mine has a strong future, with extensive exploration activities which have continued to grow the resource and require mine planning beyond 10 years of continued operation.Service CrewMMG Limited currently have an exciting prospect for an Underground Operator - Service Crew at our Rosebery operation in Tasmania.
This role reports to the applicable Shift Supervisor and the accountabilities will include specific tasks related to your area of operation.This position is offered on 7 Days on 7 Days off Day Shift on a DIDO basis.Duties include (however not limited to):Displaying an unwavering commitment to safe work practicesFollowing shift plan instructions as directed by your supervisorEnsuring good housekeeping standards are maintained at all timesInstallation of all mine services including but not limited to mine ventilation and reticulation systemsReporting of all incidents and hazards to your Shift Supervisor immediatelyReal time communication with Mine Control of all physical measures and delaysCompletion and submission of all required shift reports and documentation to the Shift SupervisorConducting a thorough,



timely and informative end of shift handover with your cross shiftAttend and actively participate in all required site and MMG training courses and meetingsEnsure that all assigned vehicles are operated in a safe and clean condition at all timesUsing all provided equipment safety and within its design capability and purposeCarrying out effective high quality workplace inspectionsEnsuring correct signage (warning/hazards) are used and maintained at all times according to site standards and procedures.About You:Minimum of 3 Years' experience in underground mining, with a strong emphasis in a mechanised underground mining operation techniques and experience on the equipmentExperience with working in production and development crews or operating in this environmentExtensive knowledge of safe work practices and techniques applied in underground mining.You will be able to demonstrate strong problem solving skills within a team environment.Ability to communicate clearly and conduct detailed handovers with supervisors, cross shift and other relevant departments.Basic understanding of mining targets & priority projects to ensure targets are met,
