Responsible Persons (Educators) - Casual
Responsible Person/Educator opportunities at Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services within St Ambrose Primary School, Pottsville and Mt St Patrick Primary School, Murwillumbah
We offer
Hourly rate $***** (when undertaking Responsible Person duties), plus superannuation

For staff with primary school-aged children at the school, option for your children to attend the service when on shift (small fee payable)
Duties
Before and after school care, plus school holiday programs.
Organise and supervise children in various recreational and educational activities.
Take an active role in supporting positive behaviours and self-regulation.
Apply policies, procedures or similar related to childcare environment.
Build relationships with the children and families and positively represent the service.
Selection Criteria
Experience and/or qualifications in childcare or education.
Professional presentation and excellent punctuality.
Sound knowledge of child safeguarding principles and mandatory reporting obligations.
Ability to engage in a positive and friendly manner with children and families.
Available for a range of shifts over a Monday to Friday roster (no weekends or public holidays).
Employees must have or be able to obtain prior to commencement NSW Working with Children Check clearance,



current First Aid Qualification specific for early childhood settings(HLTAID012/HLTAID004)and Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025 or equivalent).
Pay rates
Pay rates are based on level of appointment.
As a guide, casual pay rates are:
Level 5: $***** per hour (including allowance), plus superannuation (when undertaking Responsible Person duties)
Additional hours worked as Educator will be paid at Level 3-4 ($*****-$***** per hour including allowance) based on level of qualification.
Hourly rates include the current temporary Worker Retention Payment (allowance) as part of the Australian Government Early Childhood Education and Care Retention Payment.
The temporary allowance is offered to all new employees on commencement of employment for the duration of the grant program.

Candidates must have unrestricted and ongoing right to work in Australia (sorry, no working holiday visa holders).
A current Australian Driver's Licence is essential.
Successful candidates may be required to undertake National Criminal History and Prohibited Persons checks.
