You will deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care that supports residents’ dignity, independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities
/n
/n
- /n
Assess residents’ clinical needs and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans
/n
- /n
Administer medications safely and monitor their effectiveness
/n
- /n
Conduct clinical assessments, monitor vital signs and report changes in residents’ conditions
/n
- /n
Identify and respond appropriately to clinical deterioration
/n
- /n
Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals, care workers and other members of the multidisciplinary team
/n
- /n
Maintain accurate and timely clinical notes and resident records
/n
- /n
Communicate respectfully with residents and their families regarding care needs and treatment plans
/n
- /n
Provide wound care, catheter management and other clinical procedures as required
/n
- /n
Support and supervise personal care workers and other care team members
/n
- /n
Follow infection prevention and control procedures
/n
- /n
Maintain a safe, respectful and hygienic environment for residents and staff
/n
- /n
Deliver care in accordance with facility policies, qualified standards and the Aged Care Quality Standards
/n
/n
Requirements
/n
/n
- /n
Current Registered Nurse registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia through AHPRA
/n
- /n
At least six months’ experience as a Registered Nurse in residential aged care
/n
- /n
Current National Police Check
/n
- /n
Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it before commencing
/n
- /n
Current influenza and COVID-19 vaccination records
/n
- /n
Full Australian working rights
/n
- /n
Strong clinical assessment, judgement and problem-solving skills
/n
- /n
Sound knowledge of residential aged care standards and regulatory requirements
/n
- /n
Clear and compassionate communication skills
/n
- /n
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
/n
- /n
Commitment to confidentiality, professional conduct and resident dignity
/n
- /n
Availability for flexible shifts, depending on the selected position
/n
- /n
Experience using electronic clinical documentation or aged care management systems is preferred
/n
