The Opportunity /n

We are seeking a part-time Station Manager to lead our small but passionate team. You will oversee day-to-day station operations, drive content strategy, support staff and volunteers, and ensure compliance with technical and licensing standards.

This is a hands‑on role perfect for someone who lives and breathes community media and wants to uplift Indigenous voices.

The opportunity to lead a dynamic Indigenous media team

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include: /n

/n

- Managing daily operations and broadcast quality

/n

- Supervising and mentoring staff and volunteers

/n

- Developing culturally relevant programming schedules

/n





- Handling budgeting, funding/grant applications, and sponsorships

/n

- Engaging with community stakeholders and promoting station initiatives

/n

- Leading strategic planning and technical oversight

/n

- Representing 4K1G at community events and board meetings

/n

- Has previous experience in radio or media but not essential. Training and support provided.

/n

- Understands Indigenous culture, values, and community needs

/n

- Is a natural leader with strong organizational and people skills

/n

- Can write funding submissions and manage budgets

/n

- Demonstrate strong communication and administration skills

/n

- Maintain a respectful and collaborative relationship with Board of Directors, ensuring station operations align with the Organizational strategic direction

/n

- Is passionate about community media and storytelling

/n
