We’re partnering exclusively with one of Australia’s largest technology organisations to hire 2 Solution Designers into its Enterprise & Solutions Architecture practice.
You’ll join a long-standing, large-scale program, working as a hands-on Solution Designer responsible for taking business and technical requirements and translating them into robust, scalable solution designs.
This is an individual contributor role suited to someone who enjoys remaining technically hands-on, owning solution designs and working closely with engineering teams to see those designs through to implementation.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be responsible for:
- Gathering and analysing functional and non-functional requirements
- Designing end-to-end technical solutions
- Creating UML and architecture diagrams
- Producing detailed Solution Design Documents
- Designing event-driven, microservices-based architectures
- Designing solutions leveraging AWS cloud services
- Evaluating technology options against project and architectural requirements
- Working closely with Software Engineering, Architecture and Quality Engineering teams
- Supporting development teams throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Resolving technical and design questions as solutions move into production
What we're looking for
We're particularly interested in Solution Designers with robust experience across:
- UML and technical diagramming
- Sparx Enterprise Architect, PlantUML, Lucidchart or similar
- Event-driven architecture
- Microservices architecture
- AWS Cloud
- End-to-end solution design
- Translating business requirements into detailed technical designs
- Working collaboratively with software engineering teams
Nice to have
- AWS architecture certifications
- Azure or broader multi-cloud experience
- Existing Australian Government security clearance
About you
Alongside your technical background, you'll be someone who communicates well, collaborates effectively and is comfortable operating autonomously.
We're looking for someone who can take ownership of their work, engage confidently with technical stakeholders and work effectively within a large, complex technology environment.
Eligibility
Australian citizenship is mandatory and candidates must be eligible to obtain the required Australian Government security clearance.
