What you will do as the Director:

- Lead a team of professionals, role modelling our leadership behaviours, supporting a professional and collaborative working environment, coaching, giving continuous feedback, resolving conflict and facilitating career development
- Provide strategic, evidence-based advice to senior leaders, solve complex problems and anticipate emerging policy, legislative, and operational issues relating to the Division and the CDR.
- Coordinate high-quality advice and briefings for Executive members, government stakeholders and parliamentary processes, including Senate Estimates, ministerial liaison and the CDR Steering Committee
- Oversee effective governance, secretariat and reporting arrangements, anticipating and coordinating divisional input to the Digital ID and CDR Committee and other ACCC governance forums, including the Commission, Corporate Governance Board, Audit and Risk Committee and Executive Management Board as required.

This role in particular requires demonstrated:

- Experience leading a policy or program management team in a fast-paced and complex regulatory context.
- Understanding of the CDR functions of the ACCC under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and other relevant legislation, and of the objectives of the CDR program, or an ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
- Ability to lead strategic projects and teams, exercise sound judgement and autonomy, solve complex problems, and manage competing priorities to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes in an evolving workplace.
- Ability to engage strategically with the broader policy and regulatory environment, anticipate emerging issues and adapt to immediate and future challenges.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex material clearly, accurately and with close attention to detail.
- Ability to build productive relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives, including representing the ACCC where required
