About the Role

We are seeking an outstanding academic to join our School of Nursing and contribute to world-class teaching and impactful research. You will deliver and coordinate undergraduate and postgraduate subjects, lead innovative nursing research, build meaningful partnerships across industry and the community and supervise higher degree research students. Working within a collaborative and research-intensive environment you will help shape evidence-informed nursing education, secure competitive research funding and contribute to the continued growth and success of the School's research and teaching programs.

About the Team

The School of Nursing, University of Wollongong is identified as a provider of high-quality professional education and contributing to the generation and dissemination of knowledge within a research-intensive university. The Bachelor of Nursing program is offered at six delivery sites including, Wollongong, Liverpool, Sutherland, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Bega Valley. In addition, we have an expansive post graduate portfolio with degrees in Nursing, Mental health, Dementia Care and Health Leadership and Management. The School has an expansive research agenda. Our research agenda has six foci: Clinical Excellence, Mental Health, Ageing, Primary Health, Person-Centred Practice and Teaching and Learning under the leadership of excellent researchers.

What You'll Bring

- A PhD in Nursing or a related discipline (or near completion)
- Experience teaching and a passion for student learning
- Recent clinical experience in Australia
- A strong or emerging research profile, including publications and scholarly activity
- The ability to build meaningful partnerships across healthcare, industry and the community
- Experience in supporting research students




- A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills

Role Details

- Employment type: Fixed-term | Full-time appointment (4-years)
- Level B: $124,928 - $144,275 + 17% Superannuation
- Location: Wollongong & UOW Liverpool Campus
- Valid Australian work rights required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Special Job Requirement
- Recent clinical nursing experience in Australian healthcare settings
