Fuse Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced PM Operations Supervisor to oversee the afternoon/evening operation for a well-established transport and logistics business in Adelaide.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role where you will be responsible for coordinating the PM shift, ensuring freight is loaded and unloaded safely and efficiently, and providing leadership and direction to a team of approximately 13–15 Forklift Operators and General Hands.

The Opportunity Working closely with the PM Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the PM operation, ensuring freight movements are completed safely, accurately and within required timeframes.

You will have operational oversight and accountability for approximately 13–15 floor-based employees, including Forklift Operators and General Hands.

The role operates on an afternoon/evening shift of approximately 1:00pm–9:00pm, with overtime occurring primarily on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate the PM shift to ensure freight is loaded, unloaded and dispatched safely and efficiently.
- Provide direction, guidance and support to approximately 13–15 Forklift Operators and General Hands.
- Plan and prioritise daily workload to meet operational and customer requirements.
- Coordinate loading of linehaul trailers and containers, along with loading and unloading of PUD vehicles.
- Ensure freight is prioritised appropriately, including urgent, priority, held-over and transhipment freight.
- Monitor operational performance against key KPIs including transit times, loading/unloading times, scanning accuracy, CWC, damages, pallet non-conformances and overtime.
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility requirements, load restraint, load mass and safe work practices.
- Support the safe handling, loading, unloading and storage of Dangerous Goods.
- Identify and address operational issues, escalating matters where required.
- Investigate the root causes of freight damage, lost freight, holdovers and operational delays.
- Ensure team members have the appropriate training, instruction, supervision and competency requirements.
- Promote a solid safety culture and address unsafe practices or behaviours.




- Work closely with the PM Operations Manager to improve productivity, service levels and operational outcomes.
- Assist with performance and behavioural management where required.
- Ensure relevant operational reports, compliance documentation and incident reporting are completed accurately.

About You
We are looking for someone with:

- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within road transport, freight or logistics.
- A strong understanding of road transport operations, particularly loading, unloading and linehaul environments.
- Experience overseeing warehouse/floor-based operational teams.
- The ability to lead and influence a team even where employees are not direct reports.
- Strong understanding of safety, Chain of Responsibility and operational compliance.
- Experience working to operational KPIs and service targets.
- Strong communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- The confidence to address performance and behavioural issues when required.
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management, resilience and adaptability.
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
