At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), we are looking for reliable and motivated Sterilisation Technicians to join our Sterilising Services team and play an important role in supporting safe clinical care across our hospitals.

About the Opportunity

As a Sterilisation Technician Grade 1/2, you will work within Sterilising Services at Wyong Hospital, helping ensure medical and surgical equipment is safely cleaned, disinfected, sterilised and available when needed.

Your attention to detail and commitment to high standards will contribute directly to patient safety and the efficient delivery of clinical services. In this role you will:

- Clean, disinfect and sterilise medical and surgical equipment in accordance with required standards and procedures.
- Prepare and distribute reprocessed equipment to clinical areas to support safe and timely patient care.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment while applying effective risk management practices.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and clinical teams to maintain efficient workflows across Sterilising Services.
- Participate in training, accreditation and quality improvement activities to continually strengthen your knowledge and skills.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

- A Sterilising Technology Certificate, or a willingness to undertake an accredited Sterilising Certificate to support progression to Grade 2.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy and high standards while working in a busy,



time-sensitive workplace.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work respectfully and effectively with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of, or a willingness to develop knowledge in, infection control and Work Health and Safety requirements.
- The ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing tasks and consistently meet required standards.
- A commitment to ongoing learning, professional development and maintaining current knowledge of safe sterilising practices.
