Role Details

Position: Prison Cleaner
Location: Cherry Creek Youth Justice Centre, Little River VIC
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:30pm - 12:30am. Days of work will vary Monday to Sunday based on operational needs.
Pay: From $37.91 per hour + penalties + super
Contract: Casual

Potential to transition to a permanent position based on performance and business requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

Clean and sanitise offices, bathrooms and common areas
Sweep, mop and vacuum floors
Empty bins and manage waste removal
Restock consumables and cleaning supplies
Complete bio-cleaning when required

What We're Looking For

Previous cleaning experience is highly regarded
Reliable with a strong commitment to attendance and safety




Ability to work independently and follow procedures
Physically capable of completing all cleaning duties throughout the shift
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards

To Be Considered, You Must Have

Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
National Police Check
Employee Working With Children Check
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
No past or current associations with individuals in Victorian correctional facilities
