The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important government services to our community.
The Vehicle Identity Unit is responsible for conducting detailed vehicle identity inspections, maintaining the integrity of South Australia's vehicle registration records, and providing specialist vehicle identification advice and support to DIT and SAPOL.
Delivers vehicle identity assessment and inspection services in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and policies, while maintaining accurate records and supporting investigations. Seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong technical, analytical and communication skills who can provide sound advice, manage challenging interactions professionally, and work collaboratively with stakeholders
Educational Qualifications / Licences
- Post secondary education / qualifications with a focus on compliance and/or investigations or equivalent experience will be highly regarded.
- Post secondary education / qualifications in Automotive or Motor Mechanics will be highly regarded.
- A current drivers Licence is essential.
Special Conditions
- A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport,
which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
- Initial location will be based at Regency Park in the Adelaide metropolitan area, operating from Lonsdale inspection facility and on-site car yard visits when rostered to do so.
- Must be prepared to wear Agency uniform.
- Work 152 hours over a four-week period.
- Some out of hours and weekend work may be required
Tenure of VacancyTemporary appointment up to twelve (12) months
RemunerationOPS3 - $74,095 to $78,694 pa + superannuation.
