Clinical Environment

You will provide Surgical Registrar cover within Hunter New England LHD.
The role involves supporting surgical ward cover, reviewing patients, completing documentation, handing over clearly and escalating clinical concerns appropriately when required.

You will work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams in a supportive regional hospital environment.

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad surgical patient mix, including ward-based surgical patients, acute reviews, post-operative patients, patients awaiting surgical assessment and patients requiring documentation, management planning, escalation or ongoing care.

Key Duties

- Review and manage surgical patients
- Support ward-based care and acute surgical presentations
- Complete clinical documentation and handover
- Assist with management plans and patient flow




- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams

Requirements

- Current AHPRA Registration
- Recent surgical registrar-level experience
- Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately
- Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
