Business Description:

Shanvi Painting is dedicated in providing the best quality painting for its Commercial, Strata and Residential clients. Our service is available 24 hours X 7 days a week including holidays. We service most of New South Wales, Canberra and Eastern & Southern Queensland. We provide professional technical advice, design and colour selection assistance to help you meet project budgets and all other requirements you may need. Hence we need a Painter to undertake the following tasks:

1. Undertake all aspects of painting (high end new homes, residential repaints, commercial projects, strata community)

2. Ensuring area is safe and marked out before starting an work

3. Ability to produce top quality finishes including oil base enamelling.

4. Must effectively use brushes, rollers and sprays

5. Preparing surfaces for painting, filling nail holes, cracks and joints

6. Removing fixtures and ensuring surrounding services are protected

7. Responsible for the application of paint, varnish, stain, enamel or lacquer to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces,



trimmings and fixtures of buildings and other structures on site.

8. Responsible for preparing paints to required colour by mixing portions of pigment, oil and thinning

9. Restoration of period homes: spray finish enamel work, wallpapering; and rendering and plastering walls

10. Cleaning and storing equipment and maintaining premises in a tidy condition

11. Removal or waste and recyclable items

12. Ensuring a protected work practice in line with company policies and procedures

13. Strong knowledge of all correct preparation techniques.

14. Interact and communicate with clients/builders/other trades.

15. Sound product knowledge of an array of paints/materials on the market.

16. Be able to read/interpret plans.

Skills Required:

Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:

Education: Cert III + at least 2 years of on job training or Cert IV or Diploma and
Experience: At least 1 year of highly relevant experience

OR

At least 3 years of highly relevant experience if no formal qualification

Skills:

1. Work experience in Painting - Commercial and Residential
2. Specialised in painting walls, doors, windows, draws, cabinets, wardrobes & all interiors & exteriors
